Photos are vivid, sharp and show good dynamic range. The camera is very logicial in its operations and best of all takes really usable pictures in low light conditions at ISO levels up to 1,600, even though the camera can push to 3,200. The lens is very fast F 2.0. The camera competes in bright light with my Canon 40D SLR. Low light picture quality is not as competitive but still very natural and useable, unlike some of my other pocket cameras. This is the small camera for the serious SLR photographer to use when an SLR is not practical. Highly recommended.
